Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 21, 2026
Last Updated: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Bayshore Transportation System, Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as ShoreView Moving and Storage (“ShoreView,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you interact with us through our websites, web forms, web chat, AI assistant, AI voice agent, telephone lines, email correspondence, SMS messages, and other related services (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
Name, telephone number, email address, postal addresses (including origin and destination of your move), inventory descriptions, scheduling preferences, payment information where applicable, and any other information you provide through a web form, web chat, email, SMS reply, or during a phone call.
1.2 Conversation Content
Transcripts of chat sessions, including chats with our AI assistant; call recordings and transcriptions, including calls handled in whole or in part by our AI voice agent; voicemails you leave for us; and the content of SMS messages you exchange with us. Phone calls and AI voice agent interactions may be recorded, transcribed, and stored for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit our websites, we and our service providers automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use cookies and similar technologies to collect this information — see Section 7.
1.4 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from lead-generation partners, advertising platforms, Google Business Profile, social media platforms where you have engaged with our listings, review sites, and our carrier partners. The collection of that information by those third parties is governed by their respective privacy policies.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide quotes, estimates, scheduling, dispatch, and moving and storage services to you;
- communicate with you about your inquiry, quote, move, and post-move follow-up — by phone, SMS, email, chat, or AI voice agent;
- send you marketing and promotional messages where you have given the required consent;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including training and refining our AI voice agent and chat assistant;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable to a household goods carrier, including 49 C.F.R. Parts 375 and 376;
- detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service; and
- defend or assert legal claims, including in connection with TCPA, A2P 10DLC, or consumer-protection matters.
3. SMS and Telephone Communications
This Section describes how we collect, use, and protect telephone numbers and SMS-related information. The no-sharing disclosure in Section 3.3 is carrier-required and is reproduced verbatim from our Terms of Service so that the same commitment appears in every customer-facing policy.
3.1 Express Consent
You will receive SMS messages from us only after you have provided express consent. Consent is typically captured either (a) verbally during a phone call after our agent reads the required disclosure script — which identifies ShoreView Moving and Storage as the sender, describes the types of messages you will receive (account and service messages, service notifications, and occasional promotions), states that message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply, and explains that you may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help — or (b) by submitting a web form that contains the equivalent consent language adjacent to the submit button.
3.2 Call Recording
Calls between you and us, including calls handled in whole or in part by our AI voice agent, may be recorded, monitored, transcribed, and stored for the purposes described in Section 1.2. Where required by law (including in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Washington, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, and other two-party-consent states), you will be notified at the beginning of the call that the call may be recorded; your continued participation in the call constitutes your consent.
3.3 No Sharing of Phone or SMS Opt-In Data
Carrier-Required Disclosure · Reproduced Verbatim Across All Policies
ShoreView Moving and Storage (a DBA of Bayshore Transportation System, Inc.) does not sell, rent, lease, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile phone number, SMS consent, or SMS opt-in data to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Information you provide to us through any opt-in process is used only by ShoreView Moving and Storage and Bayshore Transportation System, Inc., and by our service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the Services and the communications you have requested. Service providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for their own marketing purposes. This restriction does not limit our ability to disclose information when required by law, by court order, or by a regulatory authority of competent jurisdiction.
3.4 How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS marketing at any time by replying STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any text message we send. You will receive one confirmation message and no further marketing messages. Transactional messages related to an active move you have engaged us to perform may continue until that service is complete. To opt out of phone marketing or be added to our internal Do Not Call list, contact us using the information in Section 16.
4. Artificial Intelligence Voice and Chat Agents
Some interactions with the Services are handled in whole or in part by an artificial intelligence (AI) system rather than a human representative. When you interact with our AI voice agent or AI chat assistant:
- We will disclose, on request, that you are interacting with an automated system.
- You may at any time ask to be transferred to a human representative; we will route you to one during normal business hours where reasonably possible.
- The AI system collects, processes, and stores the content of your conversation, including any personal information you share, for the purposes described in Section 2.
- AI outputs are intended to assist with informational and transactional tasks and are not a substitute for legal, financial, medical, insurance, or other professional advice.
5. Email Communications
We send transactional emails related to your inquiry, quote, and move, and — where you have opted in — marketing emails. Every marketing email we send identifies us as the sender, uses a non-deceptive subject line, includes our valid physical postal address, and contains a working unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests within ten (10) business days as required by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
6. Form Submissions
When you submit a web form (including quote requests, contact forms, callback requests, and chat-initiated lead forms), we collect the information you provide and use it as described in this Policy. Forms that capture consent to receive SMS marketing display the required consent language adjacent to the submit button.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies for:
- Site functionality — operating chat and form widgets, remembering preferences, and routing calls and forms correctly;
- Analytics — measuring traffic, engagement, and conversion through services such as Google Analytics; and
- Advertising — measuring and optimizing the performance of our advertising on platforms such as Google Ads and Meta.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info/choices) and the Network Advertising Initiative (networkadvertising.org/choices). Disabling cookies may limit some Services functionality. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals; the rights described in Section 11 are available to you regardless of any Do Not Track setting.
8. How We Share Information
We share information only as described below.
- Service providers. SMS aggregators, telephony providers, CRM and marketing-automation vendors, AI model providers powering our voice and chat agents, payment processors, hosting providers, and analytics vendors — only as needed to deliver the Services, and under contractual restrictions.
- Carrier partners and authorized agents. Where your move involves a carrier partner or authorized agent network, we share information necessary to dispatch and complete the move with those partners.
- Legal compliance. When required by law, subpoena, court order, regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of us, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to the acquiring or successor entity continuing to honor the commitments in this Privacy Policy or providing notice and choice before any material change.
- With your consent. For purposes you specifically authorize at the time.
As noted in Section 3.3, we do not share your mobile phone number, SMS consent, or SMS opt-in data with any third party for that party’s marketing or promotional purposes.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations (including tax, employment, transportation, and TCPA defense recordkeeping), to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- SMS consent records (including the associated call recording or form submission) are retained for at least the duration of the customer relationship plus four (4) years.
- Move-related records are retained in accordance with our obligations under 49 C.F.R. Parts 375 and 376 and applicable state law.
- Marketing communications and analytics data are retained for the period needed to evaluate the performance of our marketing activities and for no longer than reasonably required.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. Personal information you submit through our websites is transmitted to us using industry-standard encryption (TLS). No method of transmission over the internet or storage on a computer system is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. Subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information;
- limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 16. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
11.1 California Residents
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), including the rights enumerated above. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. California residents may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on their behalf; we may require verification of the agent’s authority and your identity before responding.
11.2 Marketing and Communication Preferences
You can:
- unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email;
- opt out of SMS marketing by replying STOP as described in Section 3.4;
- request placement on our internal Do Not Call list by contacting us at the address in Section 16.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under thirteen (13) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Services. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address in Section 16.
13. Third-Party Links
Our websites may contain links to third-party sites or services (including Google Maps, payment processors, scheduling tools, review platforms, and social media). We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Your use of any third-party site or service is governed by that party’s privacy policy.
14. International Users
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be collected, processed, transferred to, and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where we and our service providers operate. Data-protection laws in the United States may differ from those in your country of residence.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, which may include a notice on our website or, where appropriate, by email or SMS to customers who have provided consent. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revision constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
